When booking for a campsite at Kai Iwi Lakes, I was a little nervous, as one side was (temporary) home to 100 campers and the other side 400! I had images of us all camping on top of one another, Hi Dee Hi styles (for those of you who are old enough to remember that marvellous tv series!)
But imagine my delight when we found our side (100) to provide quite a lot of privacy and space between all the campers. Nice!
But the WATER! The photos could not do it justice. So clear, and stunning shades of blue , it was simply divine. We had a kayak adventure on day one and on day two, biked right around one of the lakes. There were three lakes and it was a very cool place to be. Lovely white sand and warm water.
Bliss! Must go again.
