Ok, probably not ALL roads, and Ranfurly isn't very Rome - like, but on this occasion, that is where our road led.
We left Oamaru, headed down the coast, stopping at an historic flour mill for morning tea (it was closed, but the boys checked out the old farm machinery in the paddock).
Then stopped again to check out the Moeraki boulders. Lots of tourists on the beach, and a beautiful still day, so quite lovely.
Stopped again a bit further down the beach where it was less busy, and therefore much better suited to seagull harassing, which entertained PB.
As a final detour, pulled into Shag Point. Ventured down to the rocks and were rewarded by seeing a seal playing in the water and more basking in the sun.
We accidently got quite close to one, while heading around the corner to look at the others, eek! Backed away quietly. Really neat to see them o the rocks.
Headed towards Ranfurly and were delighted to find a brand new association site right in town! Yuss!
$6 a night and a great location.
PB and I had a ride around town, then DH joined us and we explored the tractor display in a old shed.
Ranfurly, thanks for the visit!
Finally see DH!
