Alluring Alexandra and Lovable Lawrence

We rolled into Alex and found a camping site with a view over the town.
We pointed out the big clock up on the rugged hills by the town to PB,  which he thought was cool. Rode into town for a quick look around.
Next morning, packed our morning tea and headed to the start of the Roxburgh Gorge, by the historic bridge. It was absolutely magic riding through the gorge alongside the stunning Clutha River. Stopped for morning tea and rode back again.  About 8kms, so PB did really well (not without a bit of grumbling,  admittedly! They are pretty little legs, after all).
Headed towards Lawrence, stopping at the Roxburgh dam for lunch. Made it to Lawrence about 3.30pm.   Lawn mowing man mowed around us from our arrival until about 6.30pm, aggravating DH. (Glass of chardy or two helped me worry less about it!)
Next morning, PB and I went to check out the resident deer and pig.  It was quite a show, with the pig insisting on standing fully in his food trough, and the deer coming over to give him a hoof to the head to get him out of the way.  The pig would oink gruffly at the deer and you could tell all was not well in the paddock.
Left lovely Lawrence admiring all the quaint old buildings (lots with their  fires going - it was 1 degree!).
