Into Invergargill

We ventured away from our beautiful water side and bird song saturated campsite at Pounawea onto the coastal Catlins road to Invercargill.
Realised a little too late that the scenic route was probably not the most sensible, given our desire to hit Invercargill and get prepped for our adventure to Stewart Island tomorrow. Exacerbated by a repair job happening on a one lane bridge that warranted a lengthy diversion over a gravel (muddy) road, which saw the poor old caravan covered in muck and the journey lengthened.
Made it to Invercargill and popped into town for supplies (a couple of new bags) and boys haircuts.
Finalised our ferry booking and our pick up on the island and even did some packing!
Woop! Good to go!
As PB was going to sleep tonight he said:  "Mama?"  I said "Yes?" He said:  "You wear me out." We might need some down time on the island!
