Delightful Dunedin

On the way to Dunedin we stopped and explored an old tunnel that had glow worms in it!  Cool bush walk of about 2 mins to the Manuka Gorge tunnel.
Got to Dunedin in really good time and got to the association campsite only to find it very popular!  We managed to get a spot in the corner by waiting for a couple to pull out.
Headed to Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world!
Then headed to Tunnel Beach.  There was a very steep walk down the hill, then you go through an historic hand hewn tunnel to the beach itself. Lots of cliffs and treacherous hazards, so not a relaxing afternoon tea spot for panicky mums such as me! Big climb back up to the carpark, where we stopped to admire the wisdom of the people who have placed an ice cream van at the very top! Was very tempted!
Found our way to St Clair Salt Water Pools for a swim.  What a magical spot with the waves crashing right beside the complex! Home for dinner and bed and looking forward to more Dunedin fun tomorrow.
