In a world where health and safety has gone mad, it was SO GREAT to see the kids in the campground ACTUALLY playing bullrush today! PB had a go, but decided that he was happy playing in the sand nearby too.
He made some nice friends and they spent much of the day going between their caravans and cabins being fed by the various parents!
Drove the Queen Charlotte Drive to Anakiwa today, to have a look at the Queen Charlotte Track.
On the way over, we saw a caravan on the side of the road, with some people enjoying the view over the sounds. We did a double take at the sign writing on the side of their vehicle, as it turned out to be Scotty, a guy from Wellington that DH had been skiing in Whistler with about 10 years ago! So random! Stopped and turned around for a quick catch up on the side of the road.
Carried on to the track and walked 3km in on a super muddy track. Had our afternoon tea by the water and a wee stream, another very pretty spot.
Home again for more fun with the other kids in the campground and off to bed.
