Birthday Boy!

The previous might was spent in preparation for a very special birthday.  A cake was prepared and balloons blown up and presents readied.
PB awoke to balloons covering his bed, and presents!  Nana called, then Granny, then Yahyah,  all to wish PB a great day.  He also got lots of text messages so was a happer camper.
We headed out of Hoki after one more stop near the boat on the shore, from where we can see the snowy mountains in the distance.  On the way to Greymouth, we crossed the bridge where I had crashed my bike 20 years ago. Boo!
We were surprised about how close Hokitika and Greymouth were!  Obviously hadn't really done much homework.
Got a great campsite,  dropped off the caravan and headed into town for a nosey about.
Then we headed out to Shantytown.  Had a ride on a stream train and a go at gold panning.  Vaguely remember doing it as a kid with family about a 100 years ago!
Turned or that the camping family with the little girls were there as well,  so the kids were again delighted.   PB and his small friend shared cuddles AND kisses at this meeting!   Eerrk!
Home for a little while and then to McDonalds for tea.  It was PB 's second choice,  when we asked him first where he would like to go,  he said "To the pub". :-/
May need to hang out here for a few days as weather odds not looking great.  Never mind,  no rush,  eh?
